For about as long as there’ve been people exercising, there’ve been fitness gurus creating new workouts based on mash-ups of completely unrelated sports and activities. (Think Tae Bo, CrossFit, and everything Shaun T has done.) We’re guessing this is mostly because exercising is, for many of us, a mind-numbing task we do out of some deep hatred of our current selves, and we constantly crave ways to make that hour feel less like work while, God willing, giving us faster results. But lately it seems the cross-training-hybrid craze that fueled programs like P90X has given way to a host of even more absurd words and workouts, things like Spoxing (a Spinning and boxing hybrid Cubs manager Joe Maddon offers at his Chicago gym) and Broga (which aims to up yoga’s manly factor by adding mountain climbing and push-ups). For fun, can you spot the fakes in this fusion-fitness quiz?
