Ewan McGregor, who is handsome and stylish, got a weird haircut. But it's probably not his fault. Like so many problems the world over, this haircut is—we're assuming (hoping?)—the result of poor communication. We're pretty sure McGregor was going for the very popular "undercut." The actor probably did what every man in 2015 has done at least once—googled "Brad Pitt Fury Hair." Maybe he emailed a photo of Pitt to his stylist or brought one up on his iPhone at the barber. What is certain is that whoever cut his hair botched the fade. (Which is really a shame, because the top half of the haircut is pretty damn great.) Per its name, a fade should subtly fade from long to not as long. So, you should never be able to see bare skin like this. More importantly, there should never be such a hard line where the longer hairs meets the shorter ones.

There is a silver lining here however, hair this short will grow back quickly—or at least look like it did. Then the fade can be evened out. Then again, being an actor gives McGregor the age old excuse of prepping for a role.
