The Best Wipes for On-the-Go Clean

Source:

We've rounded up the best wipes for men because life isn’t convenient. Otherwise we wouldn't have thing like full-body sweats or swamp crotch, perils that always seem to pop up at the least convenient times. You aren’t always near your bathroom when you need a refresh—or any bathroom, if things are truly dire.

But we're lucky to have tiny miracles in the form of wipes. When properly formulated, the right wipe can neutralize bacteria or fungus, dissolve excess oil and dead skin cells, or even hydrate and balance skin while simultaneously substituting for a shower. If you're out and about, they can get your behind much cleaner than industrial 1-ply. (Just don’t use a pore-cleansing salicylic acid wipe on your rear end, please.)

Here are the best wipes for men, from head to toe and every crevice in-between.

The Best Shower-Replacement Wipes

Oars + Alps shower wipes (pack of 14)$16

Oars and Alps

The exfoliating "ice crystals" on the one side of this wipe deliver a cooling, smoothing full-body cleanse in the absence of a shower. They are engineered for all of your parts, face included, and are terrific for a mid-travel-day reset or a post-gym clean up (if you have to return to work, let's say, but can't do a full shower).

The Best Exfoliating Face Wipes

Anthony glycolic acid resurfacing wipes (30 pack)$25

Amazon

Use these exfoliating wipes 2-3 times weekly if you haven't otherwise incorporated a skin-buffing serum into your regimen. These use glycolic acid to dissolve dead skin cells, smooth any rough texture, and keep pores from clogging up, while encouraging the healthiest, brightest cells to inhabit the surface of your skin (hence the name "resurfacing wipes"). They also tone skin and balance oil levels with witch hazel, soothe with aloe, cool with menthol, and invigorate with green tea extract.

The Most Refreshing Face Wipes

Ursa Major cleansing, exfoliating, soothing, hydrating face wipes (pack of 20)$24

Amazon

These are the perfect wipe for a stressful day, or to pop in your gym bag (or pocket) for a quick pick-me-up. (I'm one who likes to shower at home, but I also like to wash my face instantly after a workout—so these are lifesavers in that department.) They lift dirt and grime away from the skin, soothe with aloe, exfoliate with AHAs and BHAs, and tone oil + pH levels with witch hazel. The formula is naturally derived, and the bamboo cloths are also biodegradable.

Yes To charcoal face wipes (2 packs of 30)$13 $12

Amazon

Charcoal can vacuum out the oiliest of pores. And these all-black wipes will leave your face fresh and detoxed with a single swipe—without you having to look at all the gross grime you leave behind on the cloth.

The Best Butt Wipes

DUDE Wipes flushable wipes (6 packs of 48)$42 $15

Amazon

Ok, yes, these say DUDE really big on them, as though you might have a crisis of personal identity from using baby wipes. But they absolutely get the job done and are our favorites post-poo when normal TP won't cut it. (They're a massive upgrade in truck stops.) They're theoretically flushable and sewer safe, though know that even “flushable” wipes can cause plumbing havoc, so they're probably best kept in the trash.

The Best Anti-Chafing Wipes
Image may contain: Bottle, Cosmetics, and Aftershave
MANSCAPED ball wipes (15 pack)$13

Amazon

Banish swamp crotch and thigh chafe: these wipes will freshen your nether regions. They cool skin with first touch (thanks, aloe) and keep you confident, too, should you need your bits to smell nice and hospitable for any evening +1. They aren't flushable, though, so toss 'em in the trash when you're done.

The Best Antibacterial Hand Wipes

popfresh antibacterial hand wipes (7 pack)$5

Nordstrom

If you haven't got hand sanitizer on hand, these nifty wipes will suffice—and can help clean surfaces after the fact, like a grody airplane tray. They're biodegradable from wipe to packaging, and come in a trio of refreshing scents—coconut, grapefruit, or orange.

The Best Antifungal Foot Wipes
Image may contain: Diaper
pHeet foot wipes (72 pack)$20

Amazon

If you've ever experienced athlete's foot or other fungal ailments, these foot wipes are a gym-bag godsend. A simple swipe not only refreshes, but also balances pH levels in the feet while nixing fungus and bacteria that can lead to peeling, cracked heels, gnarly toenails, and more. They can be used anywhere else on the body, too, save for the face.

The Best Post-Shave Wipes
Image may contain: Accessories, Accessory, Text, Label, and Wallet
Fulton & Roark aftershave cloths (30 pack)$28

Uncrate

With antimicrobial tea tree oil and oil-balancing witch hazel, these wipes are a perfect aftershave savior. But they moonlight as everyday face wipes too. They've got a refreshing eucalyptus, sage, and bergamot zing to them, to lift the senses while cooling and calming your mug.

The Best Deodorant Wipes
Image may contain: Plant, Food, Vegetable, Cucumber, Fruit, Drink, Cocktail, Alcohol, Beverage, Citrus Fruit, and Lime
Dove deodorant wipes (3 packs of 25)$16

Amazon

As refreshing as a bar of Dove soap itself, these deodorizing wipes knock out stank and sweat under your arms and thighs, or around your neck or backside. A simple swipe freshens the area and eliminates any musty muskiness, leaving a cool cucumber scent in its wake.

The Best-Smelling Wipes

Proraso cologne tissues (6 pack)$10

Amazon

Like a splash of aftershave, these scented wipes leave a crisp, refreshing zeal in their wake. You can wipe them anywhere you would otherwise spray fragrance—namely pulse points like the neck or wrist, chief among them. They're perfect to pocket before work if you need a nice scent for happy hour or date night.
