Haute couture is on show at 'Cinecittà si Mostra', the museum of Rome’s Cinecittà film studios. From December 14, visitors are able to enjoy the atmosphere of a major film set and runway show with the costumes produced by Saint Laurent Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello for Parthenope, the movie by Italian director Paolo Sorrentino that recently hit the milestone of one million tickets sold.
Cinema buffs, movie enthusiasts and interested visitors of all ages will be able to discover the lavish original costumes created by designer Carlo Poggioli and made by the French luxury label, now exhibited at 'Cinecittà si Mostra'.
Underscoring the strong connection between the label and the movie industry, last year Vaccarello set up Saint Laurent Production, a fully owned subsidiary of Saint Laurent which, in a first for a luxury label, is engaged in producing films. The costumes that the Parisian label has loaned to 'Cinecittà si Mostra' are among the first used in a film co-produced by Saint Laurent Productions.
