Most dudes need a regular cut, but the whole hyper masculine, neo-barbershop kick isn’t for everyone. Brooklyn barbers Persons of Interest opened a new outpost last week in North Williamsburg that offers a clean, understated space (inspired by the UN Secretariat) to get touched up: think good tunes, magazines you actually want to read, and talented, no nonsense professionals. Proprietor Steve Marks tells us, "We honor barber services of the past without feeling contrived. Basically, we don’t take ourselves too seriously."

Swing through, leave your number, and they’ll call you when a chair opens. Or hang out and have a Brooklyn Lager. Either way, ’Billyburg’s latest barber is a good bet. Clean-ups start at $20, cuts for $40.

82-84 Havemeyer Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211 (718) 218-9100.
