Will Trade Sex For Laptop — Dangerous Lilly

I’m kidding.

kinda.

maybe.

There is just no way I can afford one. Not at all. I know there’s sales, but my partner and I are forgoing gifts for each other for the second year, and halving the amounts normally spent on other family members. So yeah, no. It ain’t happenin anytime in the foreseeable future for me.

I have coveted this for years. Something that many people seem to own. True, I covet other gadgets. Like a GPS unit for my car cuz I get lost easily. Or an iPhone or similar so that I can still kinda get online if my access at work is revoked.

There’s this building across the street from me here at work. Right on the corner. A busy corner. It has these stairwells in the corners of the building that have glass windows on each side, pretty much glass walls. They’re tinted a bit but when it’s dusk/dark, the lighting inside the stairwell overrides that and you can see in there. Pretty well.

I’d like to take advantage of that….not alone, mind you. Give rush hour drivers a titillating view of two naughty coworkers having a bit of fun.

I haven’t had any really decent (read: doable) challenges lately. What is up with that? I’m a bit disappointed…Come on now, I’m sure some of the new guys can think up something….right?

Coy Pink and I were discussing Christmas music the other day – the good, the bad and the ugly.  I heard this song a few years ago, I think it was on Kohls’ commercials. Just my type of Christmas music (not this shit from the last 30 years, gag), but it’s a bit obscure so I’d never found it. Couldn’t recall enough of the correct words to look it up once I thought to do so. Her and I were poking around Amazon trying to find good compilation CD’s of the good shit – 30’s/40’s/50’s era. She managed to pick out one that contained the song I was hunting for!!

Pretty much there’s two things I’ll tolerate for Christmas music. Big Band stuff, Sinatra and Ella, Rosemary Clooney and Bing Crosby, Burl Ives even for the sentimental stuff from his Christmas specials. And the Nutcracker Suite. Which is probably my favorite symphony suite, ever. As a kid I even would consider giving up piano lessons in favor of ballet, so that I could dance in the Nutcracker.

And then in hunting for that sort of music, I was reminded of a whole bunch of other goodness. Currently stuck in my head is this one: .

But seriously.

Who do I have to fuck to get a laptop for Christmas?
