By our count, Brad Pitt has had every haircut and styled it each and every way imaginable. There was the Legends of the Fall moment, when his hair was long and he looked like the cover of a romance novel. There were the Fight Club days, when everything was a bit spikey and he had a devilish goatee. Back when he dated Gwenyth Paltrow, the pair had matching bottle-blonde crops. You’ve got to respect the man for exploring every corner of his handsomeness.

Last night, Pitt left another haircut breadcrumb in the history book that is his life. He styled his very regular, I-have-6-kids-leave-me-alone haircut into something straight out of the 1940s—but far from an old-timey way—and gave himself a fresh shave. It was a great way to showcase his handsome face, Italian suit and permanent +1, Angelina Jolie.
