With their affinity for long swoopy bangs, blowouts, massive bedhead and bleach, twinkly-eyed stars with a teenage fan base have never been a barometer for good grooming…until now. Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson sported hair perfection this past week as he hit the premiere circuit for Catching Fire. In fact, there's a solid crew of young musicians and actors sporting unaffected hairstyles you could wear to work. Stylist Garrett Bryant of De Berardinis Salon in New York City weighs in and explains how to copy their grownup looks.
Josh Hutcherson: "The Caesar 2.0"
**The Look: **"I love his hair pushed forward like this—so many guys are pushing their hair back right now. This is almost like an updated version of The Caesar, but softer and shorter in the front and slightly pushed to the side."
The Process: Apply a light leave-in conditioner to towel-dried hair, then blow dry on high heat, gently pushing hair forward to smooth.
One Direction's Liam Payne: "The Modern Pompadour"
The Look: "What's nice about his style is that it still has texture, but it's not super big and obnoxious. This look really works nicely on most men."
The Process: Blow dry hair on high while using a boar bristle paddle brush to push hair up and back in the front. Finish with a light pomade for definition and separation.
Darren Criss: "The Controlled Curl"
The Look: "Darren has great wave in his hair, and he always embraces it instead of trying to gel it back or blow dry it smooth. Keep curly hair shorter on the sides and back, and you'll still look clean and professional."
Most PopularThe Process: Apply a styling cream to damp hair and gently style into a side part, being careful not to break up any natural curl. Let air-dry.
Joe Jonas: "The Peaked Close Crop"
The Look: "This is a great example of being able to have both short hair and a nice updated style. If you just leave a little more length on top and use the right product you can still have a modern look with a little edge."
The Process: Apply a small amount of a styling wax to towel dried hair, pushing strands forward and up to create a very subtle faux hawk.
Taylor Lautner: "The Blended Short Cut"
The Look: "The top is a little messy, but it's all contained and intentionally styled. This kind of a haircut could also all be slicked back for a more conservative look."
**The Process: **Apply a texturizing spray to damp hair and blow dry on high, using your hands to push hair up in the front and down on the sides and back. Finish with a light pomade.
