Back in your college days (and fine, a few times beyond graduation), a beer in the shower was hardly anything to write home about. It was a quicker means to a hopefully not quick end. But now, thanks to Carlsberg Beer, the suds are back in the shower. Although their purpose isn’t quite the same as it may have been in the past. We’ve heard weird stories of supermodels washing their hair with beer before, and it turns out, they were on to something. "Many of the high quality, natural ingredients in Carlsberg beer—in addition to being delicious—have been found to have a nourishing effect on skin and hair." Cool! But just to be clear, the team at the Carlsberg Lab (cool job) didn’t just pour a pint into some shampoo. To incorporate all the hoppy goodness, they used science. "The beer is freeze-dried into a powder then mid with organic ingredients," explained brewmaster Erik Lund. That makes us feel better. The lineup includes a shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion and each come with a half liter of Carlsberg mid up inside. If you want to get some of that brew up in your hair, you better jump on it quick, there’s an extremely limited supply on their website.

Just don’t drink it.
