I’ve had quite a bit of experience with ingrown hairs on my face, my neck, and elsewhere! But I’ve never quite seen anything like the video Buzzfeed’s Ryan Broderick dug up from Reddit today. In said clip, the subject has recently shaved his beard, to unearth what is possibly the longest ingrown hair we’ve ever encountered in the United States. You think it’s gone, but then it keeps on truckin’. It’s the Rapunzel of unwanted hairs. It’s the Anaconda of blemishes. It’s the Great Wall of China, but of ingrowns. We’re just happy it’s gone.

At the end of his dispatch, Broderick hat tips the r/popping thread on Reddit, which we investigated. I’ll spare you the nightmares I’ll be having this evening, and share these relatively tame videos.

If you need more reason to take care of your face or your beard than this, you do not deserve a face.
